A longtime California resident, Brian Borg attended San Diego State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in philosophy. An accomplished student, Brian Borg belonged to the Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa while completing his degree. He also received recognition as an outstanding graduate by the faculty of the philosophy department.
In his personal life, Mr. Borg pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes spending time in the outdoors with his family. An avid hiker and camper, he frequently takes the trails in Torrey Pines State Reserve, Mt. Palomar, Cuyamaca State Park, and other area locations. He has also explored many national parks throughout the United States, including the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Crater Lake.
When he is not out in nature, Mr. Borg enjoys playing the guitar and listening to pre-World War II blues guitarists such as Robert Johnson and Blind Willie Johnson. A fan of 1970s and 1980s hard rock, punk, and metal, he prefers the albums of classic bands such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Minor Threat. He also enjoys grilling, sampling beer from local breweries, and weightlifting.
